The jewel in the crown of Tanzania, famous for the migrating wildebeest, extensive plains of mosaic grass, spotted umbrella acacias have made this reserve the exemplary image of a wild and untarnished Africa.  The wide open savannah, bright blue skies and multi species of animals fill the landscape. Large prides of lions laze in the long grasses; plentiful families of elephants feed on acacia bark and trumpet to each other across the plains, while loping giraffes, gazelles, monkeys playing in the trees, eland and the whole range of African wildlife present themselves in awe inspiring numbers.

The giant crater of an extinct volcano, this magnificent amphitheatre contains the largest concentration of animals in all of Africa, high density lions and thousands of flamingos inhabiting an alkaline lake. The crater is 2,000 feet, 102 square mile giant caldera formed when a smoldering volcano collapsed, creating the crater. It’s been classified as the World Heritage Site. The co-inhabitant of the human wildlife is exemplified in the Ngorongoro conservation is where animals and the traditional herdsmen live in harmony.
